Welcome to our Substack!!!
Thank you for visiting our small corner of the Substack space!!! When we opened Cuts And Comics, we did a ton of posting on Facebook to spread the word about what we had going on. Over time, the engagement has fallen on Facebook and we wanted to ensure that we had a space where our messages weren’t lost in the noise of everything else on the site. So this is where we decided to land for our weekly updates to you all so you don’t miss out on any of the stuff we have planned! It’s going to be some really cool stuff…we promise! So today, we’re just going to break down what we plan on having in this newsletter so you know what to expect when this hits your inbox or when you just decide to check in.
Fresh New Comics Arrive Weekly!!!
Yes…we are a barbershop…but we are also a comic book store as well. Isn’t that crazy?! What that means is that every Wednesday we will have new comic books on the shelves for new comic book day (#NCBD) just like any other comic book store. So when you stop by to get that crispy new haircut, you can let us know which comics you want added to your pull list so we can have them ready for you to pick up whenever you stop in on a future visit. Sean’s goal is to have upcoming comics listed here so you can let us know in advance if you want to reserve a copy on CutsAndComics.com.
Cuts And Comics: Chronicles
Speaking of new comics, we are currently prepping issue #1 of “Cuts And Comics: Chronicles”, our comedy styled anthology series that we debuted digitally (you can read it HERE). We are planning to commission our Cover Artist to redraw the first four page short story, “Origins”. While we love the artwork on the original pages, we just felt that the energy in the art style on the cover really matched what we were looking for when we originally came up with the idea for this series. The plan is to begin illustrating the next short story, as soon as the redraw is complete on “Origins”. The goal is to keep on a pace to have at least three more stories completed by the end of the year so that we can bookend the first volume of this anthology series and send the completed volume to print.
The SWAG WARS Collection
We are going to use this space to showcase all of our upcoming SWAG WARS drops. The next drop will feature Spider-Man as he joins The Resistance for a DOPE mash-up. The shirt will be our first yellow shirt as we wanted to differentiate it from the shirt that we released for our upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day private screening event (more on that below).
Upcoming Events
As mentioned earlier, our first MAJOR event is happening on 8/1/26 as we are taking over an auditorium in (Regal) Georgian Cinemas in Newnan, Georgia to host a private screening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day for a bunch of our customers!!! As with any of our events we’ll be passing out a TON of FREE STUFF including some cool Spider-Man themed SWAG BAGS to all of the attendees. Additionally, we’ll be awarding our largest prize basket ever, randomly to one of the attendees as with all of our prize baskets. It’s just our way of giving back and saying Thank You for supporting our shop.

Monthly Prize Giveaway
Speaking of prize giveaways, every month we try to come up with a DOPE theme for a prize basket to giveaway to a random customer that frequented our shop within the month, typically through a prize drawing. Last month’s winner took home a packed Star Wars themed basket and he loved it!!!
From Mrs. Ragan’s Chair
Mrs. Ragan has been making it a point to challenge herself on keeping up with all of the latest trends and designs that the youth are asking for so don’t be afraid to let her know if you are looking for something specific. Beyond that, we are actively searching for new barbers to add to our team so that Mrs. Ragan can having some support. If you know of any barbers that would be a good fit for our shop, have them fill out an application HERE. All hair textures are welcome at Cuts And Comics!!!
Schedule / Vacation Updates
We will be closed on July 4th in observance of the holiday so make sure you stop in by July 3rd to get all of your haircut services and comics!!!
